Soccer Time!

We decided to get Levi playing indoor soccer since he is not in preschool this year. He is on a team with 9 little 3 and 4 year old boys. They practice 1 day a week and then have games on Saturdays. It has been so good for his social and listening skills. It is so fun to watch and he seems to really love it. Here are some picture from his first game.Ruby is a good little cheerleader. She attends every practice and game and loves it. She says "ball" and claps.During the first game Levi had a really hard time understanding that only 4 friends could be on the court at one. He acted very mature once we were able to explain to him about taking turns, and now he talks about playing soccer and passing the ball to his friends. He also has gotten good at dribbling. He seems to prefer it to kicking the ball really hard. It didn't take him very long to understand the rules, he doesn't even touch the ball with his hands anymore.
He has scored 3 goals at both of his games. Whenever anyone scores he raises his hands in the air and yells, "GOAT!" He of course thinks that he is saying goal. He is good about cheering for both teams. This past week one of the members of the opposing team started copying him, and would cheer whenever there was a goal. After every goal in his first game he would run into the net, it was so funny. At his second game he would pick up the ball and throw it to the ref-what a helpful boy!

Happy Anniversary!

My Noah has brought sexy back!! On January 2nd, we celebrated our 5 year anniversary. I cannot believe how time has flown. He is such a wonderful husband and has worked so hard for our family. Sometimes working long, long, hours so that I can be home with our kids. I love you honey!

Ruby Loves Her Daddy

Well, I used to be able to say that Ruby was a mommy's girl. She does love her mommy, but lately she has taken a real liking to her daddy. Almost every morning she wakes up asking for him. When I hear his car pull up when he gets home from work, and tell her daddy is here, she goes running to find him. She absolutely adores her daddy!

Pictue Catch up!

Levi and Ruby loved playing in our backyard. They are very brave about the cold (and mom is not). This is them riding their bikes on our deck. Ruby even loved for Levi to push her around fast. This is us going shopping for our Christmas tree. This year we went with Yampa and cousin Ashley. It was soooooooooooo cold (again, I am a cold whimp!). There was snow in the tree lot at the home depot, so after I removed myself inside with Ruby, Ashley, Yampa, and Noah had a snowball fight! RUBY LOVES CHRISTMAS TREES! It is one of her first words. Everytime that she would see a tree with lights, she woudl say. "Christmas Tree!"
Every year we try to make a gingerbread house. Here we are with our creation from this year. Levi loved putting all the candy on. He patiently waited until after Christmas to try and eat it, at which point he discovered it was disgusting. So grams put it out on the deck, and we watched the squirrels have a treat! This is our cute little snowflake on Christmas Eve. We had a great night with all of Noah's family.
This is the happy four of us on Christmas morning! Merry Christmas!

Ultrasounds pics!

Here are a few ultrasound pics for those of you who would like to see them! Isn't he cute!

I know someone who was there

I just wanted to say a few things about the inauguration.

What an amazing day! I am so grateful that I was able to be home yesterday and watch the inauguration. What an amazing day for our country.

Even if you are not an Obama fan I think that yesterday was a pivotal day for all of us that are fortunate enough to live in this country. With all the gloomy things that have gone on with the stock market and the economy the last year, our weakness has been world news. Yesterday, for the first time in a long time I had rock solid American pride. Obama's speech was inspiring and reminded us all that because we live here we have a responsibility to live up to the ideals that our country was built upon, not only so that we leave our freedoms here for our children, but because we must show the world that America is still a land of optimism and dreams.

I am not saying that Obama will bed able to change everything overnight, but I believe that his youth and his ability to lead can help us to get out of this slump that our contry has been in by our own hard work.

God bless America! I am proud to be an American!

The end of a fun week and biting

A few funny notes to wrap up the week.

Levi has decided that the name of our new baby will be.....George! George will probably not be his name, but it is a good name for now. Levi is well aware that I carry a baby in my belly and saw my growing belly (which has grown out most of my clothes) and said, "Is that your baby." Ruby will also point to my mid section and say baby, but mostly this is just a mimic of Levi.

When I was a baby I used to bite my older sister Janette a lot. She was barely a year older than me, and being small herself was told not to bite the baby. One day she had enough and bit me back, and my mom smiled.

Well my little Ruby this week decided to take after her mom. Ruby got a ride on toy for Christmas similar to one that Levi has. Levi's is now an outside toy, so he loves playing with Ruby's. He was sitting on it on Sat. When Ruby wanted to play with it. After I asked him to get off several times she was tierd of waiting and bent over and bit him on the leg. Levi of course started screaming and said the she bit him. I gave him a hug and smiled at the same time that she finally fought back all his loving torture. (He does love her, see the previous post). And Noah and I both smiled.

Trying to catch up!

Since I am so far behind, I thought that I would post a cute story about Christmas. Levi was so excited for Christmas. He asked Santa for 3 things: a Spiderman Bicycle, some Thomas trains, and race cars.

He went to bed Christmas night, and we woke him up about 8 on Christmas morning. We expected him to be so excited for his presents. Santa left his bike unwrapped with all his presents around it, and left Ruby's dollhouse with all her presents around it. Levi walked down the stairs and the first think that he said was, "Look, Santa came for Ruby!"

At that moments I was so proud of him. I knew how much he loved and thought about his little sister. It is my best Christmas memory from this year.

The kids had a great Christmas and played with their toys all day long.
