This Post is Dedicated to the one I LOVE!!

Today I did a hard thing. Noah and I ran the Bolder Boulder.
Over ten years ago (almost 11) Noah and I met at BYU-Hawaii. Our first semester at college I had a Physical Fitness class that required me to work out 3 days a week. One of my friends, Noah Beals, volunteered to run with me in the mornings.

I have to admit that maybe about half the mornings one of us didn't show up. When we did we would run to the temple, and down to the beach, and run along the beach and back up to school. These early morning runs built our friendship. The second semester of school I missed the runs with Noah, and the time that we spent together as two good friends.
In January, in the middle of January this year I told Noah that I wanted to set a goal to run the Bolder Boulder this year. He told me, that while this would make the semester at school a little harder, he would do it. So we trained. Sometimes we didn't train so well, and come race time I had yet to run 6 miles in training.
So we woke up this morning, ready to have a nice quiet morning together without the kids. We made it to Boulder and to the hysteria of a race that is run by 54,000 (yes, fifty-four-thousand) people. It was SO MUCH FUN! There were bands for entertainment, some scary belly dancers that were not so entertaining, the Blues Brothers, and Elvis. As the miles went by, my sweet Noah who could have finished the race at least 15 minutes ahead of me stayed by my side as we ran all 6.2 miles and finished the race in 1 hour and 9 minutes.

Thanks babe for staying by my side and finishing what we started together 11 years ago.
I love you!
